Kuwait looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Charlie Moore (183-1998, college: Miami, FL) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. French center Joffrey Lauvergne (211-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Kuwait's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Kris Clyburn (196-1996, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Nick West (210-1994, college: AAMU) added 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Five Kuwait and four Al-Muharraq players scored in double figures.

Shabab Al Ahli shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists.
